We are a rookie FTC team with a strong foundation in FLL. Several of our team members participated in FLL for two years and qualified for the FLL State Competition. Giving us first hand experience with the strategy and teamwork challenges faced in FLL. In our outreach presentations to local FLL teams, we shared examples from our own experience by showcasing our previous FLL competition robot. We explained its design process, how each mechanism functioned, and the pros and cons of different design choices. We also introduced our current FTC robot, walking teams through FTC rules and design constraints, and also the progression from FLL to FTC. Through this outreach, we provided guidance and hands on support to local FLL teams sparking interest and possible passion for First challenges.
